All my kids love Star Wars (and, of course, so do I). DS 1 and I have recently begun learning about stop-motion animation. The interest was spawned from watching some Legos Star Wars movies on
YouTube (also on the
Legos website). We watched these really cool movies and said to ourselves, "Hey... why can't we do that?" Of course, the Internet videos are much more polished and only serve as inspiration for us to learn how to make well-thought out and smoothly executed videos.
See below for pics of DS1's first attempt. I am really proud of him because he wrote out a screenplay for this movie. He even drew story bords. I was highly impressed.

Movie set.

We threw a couple of space ships in the background for effect.

DS1 posing, practicing for future Academy Award. DS2 looking on in background (future gaffer, maybe?)

DS1 again, soaking up the spotlight.
Here is DS1's first creation. Keep in mind, he did it himself with minimal input from Dad.

Very impressive. Look out George Lucas, incoming talent.
Thanks! We're shooting for a franchise opportunity.
