I think it is more than just recent rain. looks like it has been going on for years. I think the dog commited suicide.
Dude...dude...dude...That's a problem. Wow. What's the response from the insurance company? Cause that's definitely gonna leave a mark!

Hey, Kiddo. Sorry to see you're in a pickle! Moisture is a serious enemy and can be difficult to repair. Like you haven't learned that...You're in my prayers. You've got your work cut out for you. Getting that black stuff OUT is the most imperative thing. Don't breathe it, use masks. VERY IMPORTANT... Love to all,
Yeah... nice, huh?
Thanks to everybody for the comments. I am waiting on a response from the insurance company. We'll see...
To T & L, HI!!! I miss you guys! I hope you are well!
Thanks Aunt Mary, I will definitely be careful. If the insurance company will take care of it, I will simply "let them." Love you!
JCR, I will let you know.
Later,

Insurance says no coverage. Damage has to be "sudden and accidental." Obviously we meet the accidental requirement, but anybody who looks at the picture can see that this problem did NOT appear in a "sudden" fashion.
Happy. Joy.
