Wet Rider

I rode my motorcycle in the rain today for the first time ever. It was cool, but a bit scary. I was very nervous about the road being slick and the bike sliding out from under me. It went well, and I'll do it again; let's face it - the bike has become my primary mode of transportation!

I need to learn the limitations of both the bike and myself. Many biker-friends have told me that the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic and Advanced Rider courses are VERY helpful and that I should take at least the Basic. So I'm going to save up the $$ and do so before I learn some silly lesson the hard way.

Anyway, lovin' the bike. So glad I got it. Of course 60 mpg never hurts, either. ;)

Vacation Countdown

Vacation always seems to reinvigorate my inner blogger. I added a countdown timer to my blog today. It's actually counting the days, minutes, hours, and seconds until we leave for vacation!

Of course, I don't actually KNOW what that day, hour, minute, and second is yet - but I'm in the ball park; will update it once our plans are settled.
