I rode my motorcycle in the rain today for the first time ever. It was cool, but a bit scary. I was very nervous about the road being slick and the bike sliding out from under me. It went well, and I'll do it again; let's face it - the bike has become my primary mode of transportation!
I need to learn the limitations of both the bike and myself. Many biker-friends have told me that the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic and Advanced Rider courses are VERY helpful and that I should take at least the Basic. So I'm going to save up the $$ and do so before I learn some silly lesson the hard way.
Anyway, lovin' the bike. So glad I got it. Of course 60 mpg never hurts, either. ;)

- I love being a husband and dad. My family is everything to me. I have five kids: four sons (13,12,6,and 4) and a daughter (8). I enjoy flying (I hold a private pilot's license), music (I play the trumpet), and computers(it's how I feed my family). I used to be very active in my church, but not so much anymore. I love to laugh and to make other people laugh. It truly is the best medicine.
